Mike is another person in this Genealogy Website who is not a part of my blood family. But he is a brother in the Lord. We first met at Dallas Theological Seminary, I believe, in the year 1970. At the time I was a year ahead of Mike, but it took me five years to complete four years of work at Dallas. Mike and I graduated in the same year, 1974. We have kept in contact over the years. My wife and I visited him and his wife Marilyn most recently several months ago when we heard he had cancer and had only a few months left to live. We await a great resurrection when we who believe in Jesus will have healthy bodies and look forever 25 years of age. Then we will be able to serve the Great King without any physical limitations! I post Mike's Obituary here in his honor. McCartney. Barbara Jean Bartsch McCartney. Barbara was my aunt, the half-sister of my father, John T. Bartsch, Sr. They shared the same father, Paul W. Arlie is certainly not a Bartsch, nor is he one of my relatives, except that he is a brother in the Lord. We met our first year at then Grace Bible Institute, later Grace College of the Bible and still later, Grace University. We were assigned as roommates. We toured together in the King's Men Quartet during the summer of 1967. We developed a bond of friendship that survived many years and great physical distance. When I saw that he had passed away, I determined to place his Obituary on my Family Tree website in honor of our lasting friendship. One day in New Jerusalem, we will renew our friendship face to face. Schultz, Abraham H: Abe Schultz, if he were alive, would be my wife's father. I was privileged to be able to meet with Dad Schultz (that's what I will call him) a couple of times. When I first met him in the spring of1966, he was Chairman of the Board of Grace Bible Institute. He struck me as being a generous man. I met him again around Christmas time of 1966, on a trip with my wife Esther and her brother Alvin to Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada.
